Taiwan has been one of the main sugarcane plantations back in the 17th century. A southern city in Taiwan, Tainan, known as “the city of 100% sugar”, has its rich history tied to cane sugar production. It is the hometown of our brand’s founders, and it is where our journey began.

The culture of cane sugar has long integrated into Taiwanese life. While sugar was once a valuable commodity, dark brown sugar has always been considered precious and nourishing. In summer, we braise winter melon with brown sugar to make ice-cold tea to beat the heat. In the winter, we brew ginger brown sugar tea to fight the cold. A cup of hot longan and dates brown sugar tea is a traditional remedy for menstrual cramp.
